Book of Condolence Open for the Paying of Respects

All who reside in Southery will be able to come to the St Mary’s Church, Southery, Norfolk from now until the day after the funeral on 19th September between the hours as follows to sign a book of condolence on the passing of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II:

Sunday 11 September – 10 – 5 pm

Monday 12 Sept – Friday 16 Sept from 2 – 4 pm

Saturday 17th Sept from 10 – 12 pm and then from 2 – 4 pm

Sunday 19th September from 11 – 2 pm

Pens are provided but if you prefer to use your own pen then please feel free to do so.
The condolence book will remain open until 5 pm after the day of the funeral.
Should residents wish to lay flowers during this time, they may do so at the Southery War Memorial, Upgate Street. It is important to note that all the plastic wraps should be removed before laying them. At the end of the mourning period, at 9am the day following the funeral, there will be a ceremonial removal of the flowers. Any message cards will be kept with the Condolence Books as part of the local archive.
